Q: How do I contact the Legal Recruitment Department?

Q: What is the callback interview process like?
Callback interviews typically last two hours. During that time, you will meet with a combination of four attorneys, including partners, counsel or associates. If you choose to attend lunch during your callback interview, you will meet with an additional two associates. Typically, lunches last two hours.
Q: What should I bring to my interview and what should I wear?
Please bring a copy of your resume and transcript to the interview. Writing samples and references are not required. We recommend you wear business attire to the interview.
Q: When are hiring decisions made?
The Recruiting Committee meets regularly during the recruiting season. Hiring decisions are typically made within one to two weeks after your interview. If you have any questions about your status, please contact the Legal Recruitment Department.
Q: What if I still have questions after I receive an offer to join Paul Weiss?
If you have any unanswered questions or concerns after you receive an offer to join Paul Weiss, we encourage you to contact the Legal Recruitment Department. We would be happy to set up a follow-up visit or put you in contact, via phone or email, with the appropriate lawyers who can answer your questions.
Q: What expenses does Paul Weiss reimburse?
For callback interviews, we will reimburse all reasonable travel, meal and hotel expenses. Paul Weiss has an on-site travel agent that can assist you with these arrangements.
Q: How do I arrange my travel through Paul Weiss?
Please contact our on-site travel agent, Kerny Wallace of The Lawyers Travel Service at KWallace@paulweiss.com or call 212-373-3599. Please inform her that you have an interview scheduled with Paul, Weiss.
Q: How will I be reimbursed for travel expenses?
Travel and hotel arrangements to New York should be made by the firm you select as your “host” firm. The “host” firm will be responsible for billing the other firms you visit on your trip. Retain your receipts for any additional costs you incur on your trip (i.e. cabs, meals, parking, etc.). Submit all receipts and the NALP Travel Expense Reimbursement Form to your “host” firm.
